A glimmer of the moon shows like milk in a glass
Fog drifting across the road like it has legs
Humidity curling the little hairs at your neck
Your sight diminished by the creeping of the ground clouds
An owl beckons at it nightly meal…” Hoot hoot”
Impossible to see him through the shadows of the night
Foggy headlights travel on the highway to hell
Hard to tell if you are closer to “Almost there”
A coyote howls at the night moon
Scavenging for a meal that was slain last night
Cowering away from any sign of humanity
He creeps unseen against the crawling haze on the ground
The pale moon hiding behind the darkness
Leaves very little light to see
As the creatures linger amidst the night sky
The haze in the night drifts out of sight
