The clouds above and the grass below
Bring them to a happy space
That she has now grown
“Dance with me, Darling!”
He speaks into the breeze
The dance begins graceful
Even if her heart doesn’t beat
Her arms do not move
Her waist does not twist
He does not care
That her body is twigs
Out he goes, with a spin and returns
The best dance partner
That smells of the sun
She doesn’t speak, nor does she sway
Nothing in the world can ruin his day today
She’s the perfect girl
Chose just for him
When the planting was done
He called her “his gem”
For beauty is all he could see in her “eyes”
A hummingbird dances and devours any flies
She waits for him and holds his hands tight
She will still be there through morning and night…
