    We had a friend who drove an ambulance and coming back from a shout, he hit a deer. Him and his mate loaded it in the back and shared the spoils after their shift. Every time we visited for about a year we had venison in some form or another……… steaks, stew, curry, kebabs, in red wine, in a pie,
    and minced as burgers, but I have to admit sweet and sour didn’t work. That was over 25 years ago and we haven’t had it since.
