It Finds Me At Night

That feeling inside of my head, unable to resist

Finds me when I’m vulnerable, in the lonely space in my bed

As I look for myself, it finds me deep in affliction

I pray…earnestly, telling the darkness it’s not welcome

It finds me in the night, in my dreams…rather nightmares

Sweat covers my brow, hot flashes of fear

Leave me, I pray, in Jesus’s name!
