Today’s Truthful Tuesday asks us about our truths regarding working from home and working environments.
PCGuyIV asked:
Do (or did) you work in a non-traditional work environment (work-at-home, travel, etc.), and do (or did) you enjoy it? If you don’t (or didn’t), do you think you would have liked the opportunity to do so?
For most of my life, I have had my own business where working from home was essential. When I moved out here to California, I no longer was self-employed and was slingshotted into the working world of America. I enjoyed it for the most part. The only thing I couldn’t stand in the traditional work environment were some of the people that I had to deal with. When you are your own boss for so long, it’s hard to take orders from people who think you aren’t anything special.
Right before the pandemic hit, solar panels in the parking lot at the hospital caused my job to disappear. I haven’t been able to work, except on a volunteer basis, since that layoff. I would love to work again, in whatever environment that will have me. I miss socialization with the public and the money. I made good money.
xoxo, E.M.
I so relate to the issue of dealing with people–supervisors or co-workers who have “issues” that impact us. It was a blessing to qualify for Soc Security Disability, and retire–I don’t miss anything about working. I’ll keep you in my prayers, my friend–there’s a great position in your future with wages you deserve, and decent people!💖

No problem at all–I “memo” God frequently! I picture Him with a stack of my Post-It notes on his huge desk 🙂

haha! That’s a great visual! I will have to donate some post-it notes for all the prayers I need *giggles*
