E.M.’s Music Rambles ~ #EM-SRP

This week I decided to do a separate post for my answers to the Sunday Ramble #10.

Before I begin, I wanted to say that I am slowly getting to posts. (Bad E.M.) That’s because we did manage to get my room painted yesterday and thankfully with the help of my sister. I am moving a little slow today, as I think I did more exercise than I had done for a while 😀 😀 😀

Then the AFC and NFC Championship games were on today, and I am sore as all get-out. There is not one part of me that is not hurting lol. I got a lot of help though. My daughter also shampooed my carpet for me, so it took a minute to get in my room comfortably without a cold, wet floor.

I am very happy with the results. I am going to be decorating the walls and such, of course. It’s very desolate on the walls right now lol.

This week’s theme for #EM-SRP is “Music“. I love music, and that is why I figured I would do a separate post this week (instead of putting my answers with the prompt).

Here are my answers:

What is your favorite genre of music?

I can never choose one genre of music, but if I had to choose one, it would be hard rock. Avenged Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, Three Days Grace, Crossfade, and Three Doors Down have been there for me when I cannot breathe, so I definitely will place it in the first place genre. I have enjoyed it the longest, but my second place is R&B/Hip-Hop, with Bay Area Rap tieing with 2nd place. I also enjoy Classical (Yiruma and Mozart are my favorites in that category), and some New Age music. I like some nice Dubstep if it is a certain style, and I love mashups from Sickick as well. I do like country, but old country, like Patsy and Reba…Travis Tritt…Tracy Lawrence. My favorite country band is Rascal Flatts. Oh! I live my generational music too! I love my 80s music, especially the hair bands.

What is your least favorite genre of music?

EDM…it makes my head hurt. I don’t know what it is, but the constant repeating patterns make my head go BOOM! New Country music comes in 2nd place. I like the old schtuff!

What movie has a very memorable soundtrack?

The first one that comes to mind is Armageddon due to ZZ Top (La Grange) and Aerosmith (I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing), and the second place would be Footloose (Kenny Loggins). I would have to go with Grease and Top Gun for third and fourth places. Coyote Ugly will make the list at number 5.

What are three songs that get you excited?

Right off the top of my head, these three songs get me excited:

What was the last song that you listened to?

I listen to a lot of R & B/Hip-Hop, and this was what I last was listening to in my car when I went to get cigarettes. I love my radio station in my car on Sirius XM called Pandora Now.
