E.M.’s First Swapit ~ 1/8/2022

Di (Pensitivity101) has a new way to swap ideas and have a good discussion, and it’s called the Saturday Swapit. This week the topic is losing weight.

Here are the questions:

How did you do getting rid of those excess Christmas pounds?

Did the new regime work?

Did you get tired and fed up after a couple of days of good intentions?

Here is my discussion about those questions:

I am still working on getting rid of both Thanksgiving and Christmas weight, but I do believe I am losing it. I was just talking to my sister this afternoon about me looking smaller and less fat. The only thing I have really changed was to cut back on drinking Pepsi. I do not get fountain sodas from the mini-mart anymore, and I only drink one Pepsi (two at most) in a day. There are days that I do not drink any soda. That seems to be working for me.

I want to stop eating so much pasta and potatoes. The potatoes are my favorite though šŸ˜€

I also need to quit making so much fried chicken and fried potatoes. They are definitely a weakness!

  1. Pasta and potatoes are classed as free foods on the SW plan I follow (obviously not loads and loads though). I don’t fry anything as a rule, and if cooking chicken breasts, I do those in a frying pan with water. They keep moist that way as they are already skinned. Hope you’ll tune in next week for some ideas to help.
