I am excited every Monday for Melanie’s SYW prompt for all of us to share a little bit of ourselves with the WordPress World and beyond. This week’s questions are about all of the holidays (not only Christmas) and traditions that we love and ones that we do not love so much.
SHARE YOUR WORLD QUESTIONS
What is your least favorite holiday side dish? (for any holiday)
Sweet potatoes…I just do not have any desire to try them because of the marshmallows and their color. The second least is deviled eggs. Eww.
What is the ugliest or most tasteless decoration you’ve ever seen?
A boob cake – which was a fruitcake shaped into a boob.
What is a cherished or unusual (either or both) family tradition from your childhood? (this is the recycled Evil Squirrel question that got bungled by moi, and sounded like a packaging question. My bad).
The homemade chicken and noodles on Thanksgiving and Christmas are always cherished. My grandmother started it when I was a young girl, and then Mom took over through the years. Now it’s my turn to bless the table with them, for about 10 years or so now.
You’re walking down the street, feeling great — what holiday song would be playing in the background? (aw, play along. I realize some of you prefer a very silent night. It is an option to pass on this question too. No offense will be taken).
I actually love Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, O Holy Night, Silent Night, White Christmas, and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. The one that would be playing in the background on this night, however, is O Holy Night.
