E.M.’s Sunday Ramble Prompt #3

Welcome back to the next Sunday Ramble. For those that are just joining us, the Sunday Ramble Prompt will be based upon a certain topic. I will ask five questions about that topic, and you can ramble on however you wish.

This week’s topic is “dreams“.

Here are the questions:

Do you dream when you sleep at night?
Do you wish that dreams were portals to other worlds to explore? Where would the portals go if you wished for them?
If you could talk to anyone in your dreams, who would it be and why?
What is the greatest dream you have ever had? (If you do not dream, share something great that has happened in your life.)
Do you believe that dreams have a purpose?

Here are my answers:

Do you dream when you sleep at night?

I do! Sometimes I dream vividly, and other times I do not remember my dream. I like to remember the good ones.
Do you wish that dreams were portals to other worlds to explore? Where would the portals go if you wished for them?

That would be so awesome! So, my answer is yes! I always had a good imagination when I was a child and still to this day, and some of my favorite shows and books made me want to escape my life into portals of new worlds (like Neverending Story and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe). I think it would be really cool to discover new places in my dreams. I think they would go to worlds like Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory or to Oz lol. I would also like to sit on the moon in my dreams.
If you could talk to anyone in your dreams, who would it be and why?

I would love to talk to Martin Luther King Jr., Sam Cooke, and Malcolm X. They were amazing people that saw a lot of things that would help me in my causes and activism. It would be really cool to have a sit down in my dreams with them.
What is the greatest dream you have ever had? (If you do not dream, share something great that has happened in your life.)

My greatest dreams are always those that make me not want to wake up until I have finished them. The ones I remember always have to do with love and romance. Then there are the ones that have people in them that you have never met in your life before. I like those because I always wonder who the people are.
Do you believe that dreams have a purpose?

I think so. My dreams always give me an idea on how life is going. If I am having good dreams, then I am fulfilled in my current situation. When I have bad dreams (that are not triggered by scary things), it makes me pay attention and be aware if I see those things in my real life. I think they can have the purpose of being warnings. You just have to be open to see between the lines and read the signs the dreams give you.

This week I made a boo-boo on the questions for #3, and I am thankful to all of you that pointed it out to me. I will work harder for that not to happen. It was nice to meet some new people on my blog with their participation, and I am so happy to be acquainted with each one of you.
